Cat Music, Romania's top labels, must really believe in Andreea D. They've produced a stunning video for her debut single "Magic Love". The song however reminds a lot of "Is It Love" by iiO/Nadia Ali but not enough to call it plagiary, since the music is very different and pretty good too.
Eleni Foureira pops some fizz, and the club goes crazy! As in taking off their clothes and stuff. If it wasn't for the product placement, this video wouldn't be and that would be a shame. The choreography does sometimes look like she falls down from pure exhaustion...
Nyusha, Russia's closest equivalent to Britney spears in her early years, gives us somewhat of a psychological video. It shows resemblance to fever induced visions, after watching Rihanna's "Only Girl". It's nice, but it's also confusing and unpleasant in certain aspects. The song is ok too.
Vera Brezhneva is back with yet another dèja-ecouté song. It's becoming a little old to be honest. The looks in this video is very Shakira "Whenever Wherever" only the crotch of the pants is missing. I like Vera, but she's wasting potential here.
Now this is my cup of tea! 9 sexy South Korean girls, a catchy song, and great video direction! 9Muses are definitely upping the sex appeal with respect to other Korean girl groups, without being trashy. Even if there's too many muses in 9, everything about this picture is perfect!
Singaporean sensation Olivia, who's career can be truly called pan asian, released her new video for "Děng děng" which would mean "Etcetera". While the song is not so much of a novelty, the video is quite nice.
While this video is very entertaining indeed, the music is a big bluff if you'd ask me. While using a very commercial beat and background music, R&F are singing in a way wanting to be very artsy. But, sorry, you're not two Björks, and if you can't sing, then don't.
Three is a crowd. How about ten? I wonder how they keep down all those ego's! However they do it, they're doing something right. Girl's Day's new single is pretty catchy! The video is ok too, but not shooting for the stars like 4Minute or T-Ara's N4.
So Leah LaBelle likes to hang out in her 'hood' with her hot model friends. So do we! Although they do seem more interested in each other than in her. All in all this a great laid-back summer type of song, but I did wish Leah's voice was a little bit more powerful. If you're going with a simple base, you should bring the fire, otherwise it's just plainly flat.
Somehow this video of Livu Hodor and Mona, most famous from their "Stereo Love" improvement "Sweet Love", was highly anticipated. The visuals are quite good, with some interesting fashion ideas in the ok styling of this video. But the song fals flat. Somehow the writers wanted to play on the lyrical part of the song, but frankly they should go back to school to brush up on their basic English.
Marty - Suddenly
This one is a pretty decent. If there was a better use of the English cliché dictionary this song would've been better, but the combination of song and video is pretty nice.
Andrea Banica - In Lipsa Ta
This is a real break from Andrea's previous work. She used to sing English dance tracks, but according to the ruling trend in the Romanian pop scene, she's converted back to her native tongue and changed from dance to an undefinable sort of pop music which would be unacceptable in the rest of the world. While she's good looking, the styling in this video makes her look older and dry, but she has a stunning body anyway!
Australian songstress Elen Levon released this song almost a year ago in her home country, but now "Dancing To The Same Song" seems to be catching on in the rest of the world. We agree, this song should totally be an international hit! And the video is superb as wel!
Welcome back to the 90's. If this was a unreleased La Bouche video I would've believed it. While dishing a catchy track, "All My People" does not have the hit potential "Mr Saxobeat" had. And so, Alexandra Stan will stay a one hit wonder forever. But you never know!
Ever heard of over-saturation. Well this video has clearly gotten one of those treatments. The girls of K-Pop formation Secret are clearly not meant for surviving in nature, but who wouldn't want their destination as a holiday?
Another epic Turkish song echoing in Uzbekistan is "Arada Sirada", Ajda Pekkan's 2011 smash hit. Feruza Egamova's "Ishq fasli" gives some minor changes to the dance version of Ajda's version and translates the song to the Uzbek language. While it's an ok song, it's bleak compared to the original. One does not mess with divas...
Apparently Norwegian ex-reality star Carina did not care too much about making a decent video, however it's not as bad as some other examples that have passed the revue these days. And face it, radios will love this song, so nobody will be bored by watching this video. So, we don't care!
A subformation of K-Pop giant T-Ara, N4 releases two full budget videos for their debut single "Jeon Won Diary". Two examples of impeccable South-Korean styling that will rule the world, wether you like it or not. Just one fashion nightmare occurred: One of the girls wears the same shirt ( oversized sequined t-shirt) we've seen before in the 4Minute video. Nevertheless: ME GUSTA!!
I can't say I'm too impressed with the song Umidaxon is presenting us here, but the video has a great production to it! And man is she growing up fast since the last time we saw her...
