Rita Ora, the Albanian destined to be the white Rihanna. But she misses that something. Singing this Rihanna reject "R.I.P." the image, expressions, everything remind us of the Bajan beauty. However, it just doesn't convince me completely.
Rip-Off Alert: Mirsa Kerqeli – Clubi n’Air
In Albania budgets are low, let's face it, it's a poor country. What's even lower is the inspiration. And you don't need money for that. Mirsa had the wonderful idea to rip-off Kelly Rowland's video to "Commander". Personally that video was terrible as is, but to redo it with an even lower budget. And the song, don't get me started...
Bruna – I Love You Baby
Seriously, I though Bruna was gonna love me "Like a love song" like Selena Gomez did. She really made an effort there singing in English, exactly one line. I won't be complaining about the lack of budget since I know Albania is no where near the rest of Europe in terms of development, but drinking from a bottle of fake, cheap champagne? Please!
Eurovision 2012, first update.
I kind of let off writing about Eurovision for 2012, because it would seem to eager to start in 2011, and I didn't want to dissapoint myself too early. I wasn't wrong to do so. Albania's pick Rona Nishliu, who is yet to discover the hairbrush sings "Suus" for us. Not too bad, but really that hair screams for a brush! I CANT STAND LOOKING AT IT! Macedonia is not a particular standout, decent song. Sinplus from Switzerland sounds just like... U2 and bunch of other Rock songs. Nice if it's your cup of tea. To top off the bad news: It's not Atiye who will be representing Turkey but Can Bonomo will, so another cup of sour Turkish coffee this year (and a guaranteed non-win)...
MIXKULA Awards: The Trashiest videos of 2011
This first MIXKULA Awards series that will play out throughout the end of this year, will honor the girls who had the guts to bare all, to face all odds and to embrace TRASH!
First up: Dunja Illic, who made many one's stomach turn, and is, I quote "A shame for the Serbian nation"
Second is Zaimina Vasjari, the one that's been massively researched by all of you who arrive from Google! Less voice, more silicone is her anthem!
The bronze goes to Девушки Эйнштейна - Сука. The well fitted tittle "Bitch" fits this 3:20 of passionless "kissing" I'd call it mouth-scraping. It's really vulgar and disgusting, and whoever came up with this should be jailed for crimes of aesthetics.
Killer nails and the vocoder
This Anjeza Branka is one BAD b*tch. She has the most killer nails of the nothern hemisphere and she's probably the best processed woman from Albania. Oh yea, that's right, I wonder what her real voice sounds like on this song "Je In".High budget video though, I wonder who pays for all that...
The only real thing in this video is…
The watermelon. This well produced video of Zaimina's latest effort is a sign that the Albanian music industry is maturing fast. However she could be labeled herself as over produced. Or over plasticized for that matter. Biting a juicy watermelon, her even juicier lips seem like they can burst from any form of pressure. As are her 'own' watermelon-round boobs. Other external features such as window-wiper fake lashes enhance her appearance even more. Not to mention the sleek computer highlighting of her booty.
