French child star Alizée, known from "Moi Lolita" and other barely sung chansons, shows little evolution in her lastest release "À Contre-Courant", in fact, it looks and sounds even more like the 80's video's of Mylène Farmer, who created her. Dommage, even though there wasn't so much to work with either...

Jessie J – Laserlight ft. David Guetta
While a surefire hit, this new Guetta tracks just become less and less exciting. While Titanium, the original which this is a bad copy from, was hot, this is not. Jessie's vocals sound nothing less than hysterical and do not seem to fit the music. Two thumbs down!
Anggun – Echo (you and I)
As much as I like the concept of an army full of naked, gay soldiers, this song aint cuttin' it! What's with the sudden change in rhythm? It's just hysterical if you ask me. Anggun is a good singer, but this is definitly not her best song. I predict they could've spent their money better lowering the national deficit than trying to win Eurovision. Besides, like it or not, there's never been a non-Caucasian win in the contest before (except for Estonia), and as racist as it might be, it's the harsh reality of European voting...
Turn me OFF
Nicki Minaj and David Guetta live on a world full of pefect bodies without genitals. WTF! Is there any connection to the song in this vid? And is it just me or does all the slow motion make this video actually boring in stead of hot? I saw Inna videos that looked better then this, and that's a lot coming from me. Pure waste of a good song!
Like Rihanna went to Romania: Nicki Minaj – Turn Me On
David Guetta did it, he went Romanian, and Nicki Minaj went Baian, or better, Rihanna. There's little here that reminds us of the originality these two artists have, judging by the song that is. However, I LIKE IT! Let's wait and see what the full video brings

Shahzoda from Uzbekistan teamed up with Sean Bay, based in France as a part of her international breakthrough sceme. I'm not sure if the song and the video are successful, but thumbs up for at least trying.
Once a whore…
After his fellow prostitutes Snoop Dog, Akon and T-Pain, P. Diddy joined the rapper gone whore list. And believe me, once a whore always a whore. He teams up with Timaty from Russia and Dj Antoine from France to make yet another "TicToc" Ke$ha clone song, albeit with rap. Don't expect any thumbs up on this one...

"It doesn't matter if we make a nice visual, 'cus the song will sell anyway" Is probably what the managment of Mylène Farmer thought. And yes, the song is good, but the video is terrible. The whole clumsy dance routine makes her actually look older. While her last video was one of the best of 2011, this one is a lousy attempt to one.

Ok, so there's a party and everybody's invited. We're celebrating the apocalypse! According to Guetta, all the continents will converge and we'll all be at the same beach partying. Sorry, If this was to happen in a day, the continents had to move at thousands of kilometres per hour, and dear David, nobody, including you, would live to tell. So take your pick: dying to a SNOOZE of a song by David Guetta and Usher, or live. I choose the latter.
It’s amazing what a little Polish can do!
Polish-French Matt Pokora with his obviously Photoshopped muscles released a new English language effort "oblivion". While the song is very nice, the video does not seem to fit in. Even if it's not a bad video, the song would call for something more organic. Nevertheless, well done Matt.
Lonely Mylène
Mylène Farmer released a a fantastic new video, i already liked the song since her album "Bleu Noir" came out, but the video really completes the picture. This is a potential summer hit!
Favorite flops
The Eurovision predictions this week were full of turmoil. We saw France hit the top of the polls and predictions and even the bookies made high stakes, too bad the bubble inflated, now Sweden hits the top again. Lets see what happens in 2 months from now. Blue should REALLY retire, it's not funny anymore! Neither sexy. Amaury Vasillu shouldn't stop singing, he's pretty good at it, I'd just enjoy him more as a model.
