Vera Brezhneva is back with yet another dèja-ecouté song. It's becoming a little old to be honest. The looks in this video is very Shakira "Whenever Wherever" only the crotch of the pants is missing. I like Vera, but she's wasting potential here.

I'm usually exaggerating when I say "Nothing happens in this video", or "This video is a snooze". But in this video really nothing happens, and it really is a snooze! The song did not add to the exitement either...
NIKITA – ИГРА
Once Ukraines most trashy group in the world, NIKITA seams to have turned the tides and make a somewhat classier video than their usual repetoir. Their latest video for "Game" has a grewt production to it. The song itself is also pretty catchy

Egine featuring T-Pain – Moon of Dreams
Who did it better, the everlasting question when covers surface. I'm not against taking an old song and making it new, but the copy - paste level of this one is pretty painful. What was more painful was Ruslana's bad accent on the original version of this song. Even so, her version gets my preference. Even if Egine has a great voice, she does not bring a lot of personality to the table. I'm wondering if failure T-Pain even re-recored his unchanged verse. The video is great however. Great shots on the beach, just wish they left out the plastic mermaid part... Enjoy both!
Ева Бушмина – Собой
So Via GRA has been abandoned officially, and Eva Bushmina, member since 2010, does not wait until her fifteen minutes of fame are past. In fact she's the first of the girls to take faith in her own hands. With success. Even though the song sounds far from new, it's a good effort. Meanwhile a dirty war has been fought over the new Via Gra. While initially writer Konstantin Meladze would be casting girls from Ukraine Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan to become the new Via Gra in a reality-tv show, Dimitry Kostyuk, owner of the rights of Via Gra, decided to part with Meladze and create a completely new group with different writers. Konstantin will however continue the castings and reality TV-Show, but he will have to pick a new name. How about "C.I.A Lis" ?
Ruslana – Rachmaninov
I rally used to like Ruslana for a period of my life, but what she's been putting out lately is just really bad. It seems like she just gave up, and makes trash music, since that's what people want to hear. There's no real sense to this song, and Ruslana presents herself as if she's a teenager, WAKE UP! You're 39! She has a great voice, but it's hardly used in this song. I'm sure that if she would dedicate herself to some more serious music, she will also find herself with more succes.
ОЛЬГА ГОРБАЧЕВА – ВЕРА
Olga, 2 minutes of introduction to your video: Ain't nobody got time for that! Than you're teasing us for 4 minutes in your dress, wanting to make us believe you're not wearing underwear while instead you're wearing a nude-colored bra. It's also not very polite to pull up your skirt while seated. Whatever, your song is nice though.
ДАША АСТАФЬЕВА & NIKITA – СИНЕЕ ПЛАТЬЕ
If there was ever such a thing as nipple-gate, this must be nipple apocalypse. In easilly NikitA's most trashy effort ever the girls are letting it all hang out. Literally. The song title means "Blue Dress" but it would better have been called "No Dress". The song is terrible as well. While "Avocado" was a catchy song with a video someone seemed to have thought about, the theme of this stint was "take off as much as you can". Also Dasha: your hair looks terrible with those tits!
Alina Grosu – Let Go
Ukraine's bid on winning this year's ESC is pretty ok. With some tweaks this song could actually have potential. The offer this year is underwhelming, and frankly it will be long before we'll have another Loreen...

Виа Гра: A Reminder
For 12 years Via Gra was one of the hottest girl groups of the russian speaking world. While the group's members have all been sacked and a new line-up is on the way, launched with a reality show contest, I'd like to reflect on what I think are the best videos and songs of this legendary group.
Gaitana – You Will Like It
Gaitana has clearly been playing "the Sims" a little bit too much, as she has turned into one for her latest video. While some of the dance moves aren't even that horrendous, close ups of the expressionless face of the Gaitana simulation are very disturbing. Horrific. The song isn't all that bad, a tad too 90's, but if she had the decency to show up for her video shooting this might have been a success. Gaitana was wrong, I will not like it.
АнгелиЯ – Душа устала
Like a horror movie gone bad, Angelia lies on the beach like a bewildered resurrected mummy. Between these disturbing scenes we get even more disturb by some cheap camera-mounted-on-car footage and two licking individuals. There's nothing in this video that shows sings of coherence, and the song matches this theme.
Stereolizza – Go Back To Your Mama
Somehow, this broke down Ke$ha imitation managed to move her band to the US of A and get famous. It's amazing what people do with their money these days, when there's so many talented people out there with great voices, someone like this should get attention. According to the public on Youtube, she won't get far: Allmost everyone seems to hate this song. So who knows her 2008 ticket to America will soon become a one way ticket to Kiev...
Анастасия Стоцкая – Влюбляться
Is it just me, or does this song remind of the glory days of recently disbanded, legendary Ukrainian girl group VIA Gra? Of course it does, it was written by the same guy who wrote all the songs for VIA Gra and put them together as well: georgian Konstantin Meladze.
Mirami – Amour
Our Ukrainian belles came back: mainstream style. After serving dance tunes and successfully breaking into the Polish market with "Sexualna" they serve a mainstream melodramatic pop tune ex-Soviet style. If you ask me, this is a golden move for the eastern markets, if they'd make a Russian version.
Spelova – Фак.кЕл
Spelova may seem pretty innocent, but her latest single title is the fonetic spelling of "Fuck Y'All". The best moment of this video is when she makes fun of SEREBRO's "Mama Lyuba" video! BURN!!!

BEST SONG
Let's start with the winner of the best song os 2012! (Almost) Unanimously our readers chose this year's ESC winner Loreen, with 92% of the votes, this years best song goes to "Euphoria"
TRASHIEST VIDEO
We actually have a three-way tie on trashiest video this year. 24% of the votes went to NIKITA, Shaggy Ft. Eve and SiSi Girl. While NIKITA got their prize for their "pussy eating" dance, Shaggy and Eve were just plain low budget and ghetto. SiSi girl however looked like they were singing a song on their porno shoot. So they all equally deserve this trashy prize! I'm posting a new version of NIKITA's video just to mix it up a little, it's equally trashy though.
BEST ALBUM
This one wasn't up for debate: MIXKULA chose Petra Marklund's (aka September) album "Inferno" as this year's best album!

While we're still grieving the disbanding of LEGENDARY girl group Via Gra, ARMIA is not sitting still and releases their new video. An impressive video, and one to watch. The song is not my going to be my favorite, but not bad!

While you're all busy voting for the trashiest video of 2012, Ukraine and Bulgaria are having a contest of their own. Who can fill their lips up to the critical point of bursting? Ukraine's Marija Litti had a fair attempt, she even concealed her lips with a nude colored lipstick, how classy of her! She say "I'm called cray" and she's busy carrying around a cross throughout the video, how melodramatic!
Adriana missed her styling brief and went for a bright pink with a heavy coating of lipgloss. It's safe to say these lips cover the better part of her face, and she won the competition...
